About the Library
What is the mission of the Library Media program at Tashua School? The mission is to help all our students find the resources they seek and to build the skills and habits of mind they need to become passionate readers,seekers of knowledge, lifelong learners, and critical and proficient users of ideas and information. When is the Library Media Center open? The Library Media Center is open during school hours. How often can a student borrow a book? Students come to the Library Media Center with their class once a week. If they have returned a book they may take a new book at that time. In addition,special open exchange hours let students exchange books for new ones before their regular library visit. How long can a student keep a book? Books can be borrowed for two weeks. After two weeks, the book can be renewed. If a book is lost it must be paid for. The overdue notice your child receives will indicate the cost of the book. Checks should be made out to "TASHUA SCHOOL" and given to Miss Cassidy along with the overdue notice. How many books can students have checked out at one time? Kindergarten students may borrow one book. First and second grade students are allowed to borrow two books. Third and fourth grade students may borrow three books at a time. Fifth grade students are allowed to borrow four books. When is my child's library period?
