Homework is passed out Monday-Thursday evenings. It is usually due the
following day. Students pass in homework as they enter the classroom. If a
student is missing an assignment, he/she will fill out a "blue slip"
explaining why the assignment was missing or incomplete. This slip is to be
signed and returned by a parent the following day.
Each Wednesday evening, please be on the lookout for Weekly 5th Grade Math
and Reading Review worksheets.
Math Fact Calendars:
Calendars are passed out at the beginning of each month. Students should be
practicing at home 10 times a month for 10 minutes at a time. This 100
minutes of practice outside of school will help students to feel more
comfortable in math. As we continuously work to build upon skills in the
classroom, having mastered these multiplication and division facts will help
our students succeed throughout the course of the year.
Missing Homework:
Every time an assignment is missing or incomplete, students fill out a "blue
slip" which is a letter home to parents explaining why the assignment was
missing and what the student can do to prevent this from happening in the
future. After the student signs it, the teacher does and the note goes home
that evening. It is to be signed and returned the following day along with
the missing assignment.
