Create a Personalized Booklist small medium large Creating Personalized Book Lists for Students Scholastic Reading Counts: http://src.scholastic.com/ecatalog To create a personalized list: 1. Click on titles (blue highlighted) 2. Scroll down 3. Come to box 4. Click on grade level (ie. K-2) 5. Date: Added anytime (leave alone) 6. Go to Gd Rdg Level and input the student’s independent reading level (computer isn’t recognizing this if you input their level into the reading level box.) Example: From F to F 7. Check book type Book type Fiction Non-fiction Both 8. Click on Genre Type tab 9. Click on types (ie. Mystery • You can click on more than one genre for a search 10. Click on Search Titles 11. Choice of downloading on text or excel Click on excel 12. The list will display columns that you don’t need along with multiple entries of each book. • You only need: Title, Author, Reading Level • To eliminate columns: • Highlight the letter of the column, right click on mouse and click on delete • To delete multiple rows of titles and filter the list to one row/title o Highlight all of the rows that you need filtered (click on the letter of the columns and it will highlight it for you) o Click on data in the toolbar o Click on filter o Click on Advanced Filter o Click ok o Click unique record only Excel will alter the rows and you will have a list of books/authors/independent reading level by genres with one row/title Or, would you like to view and optionally restore one of these previous versions?
