Mr. Albers graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with a B.S. in Physics with
concentration in Astronomy. He received his M.S. in Education from the University of New Haven. He is
very excited to be returning as a second year teacher at Trumbull High School.
Physics 400 and 300 comprise a study of mechanics, wave phenomena, optics, heat, electricity, and
magnetism. Physics 400 also covers topics such as angular motion, modern atomic physics, and
relativity. Both courses demonstrate the mathematical relationships in basic physics concepts
and apply these relationships to problem solving situations.
During the course, students will:
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific inquiry through class discussions and activities.
- Apply concepts and principles of Physics to demonstrations and laboratory activities.
- Apply concepts and principles of Physics to their everyday life.
