Do I have to be 'artistic' to take this class?

Absolutely not...all that is required is a keen interest in learning coupled
with a willingness to place the process of learning before the finished
product. You see, we all need to build a skill set in order to perform at a
proficient level. I'm here to speed up the learning curve and get my
students to the stuff of creative life....original thought and idea
development.

What will I get out of Ceramics that will benefit me in the future?

Again, well.....I like to think that the ability to creatively problem solve
is a wonderful skill. The concept that, by the end of a year's study you will
be able to visualize and actualize your own ideas, is exciting to me.
Students tend to gain self confidence by taking ownership in the process of
self discovery.
By this I am referring to the rewards of paced steady learning...the
ownership students claim in the skills they have honed. My idea is that the
possibility of discovery and innovation is within us all. Fresh thinking and
self confidance translate into successes in every aspect of life.
