Dear Parents,
I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. Your thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated and your generosity was overwhelming!
We will continue to focus on staying healthy, exercising and foods that are good for us. We will also be spending time on specific occupations that you and your child can find in your community, particularly: doctors, nurses, dentists and since Valentine's Day is approaching, mail carriers, since they deliver cards!
Many skills continue to be worked on including: language development, problem solving, critical thinking skills, color, size and shape discrimination skills, matching, prepositional concepts, various number concepts, classification, categorizations, social skill development, fine and gross motor skills. Literature and hands-on materials enhance experiential learning opportunities. Also, finger-plays, poems, songs, movement, art and play experiences are part of our daily repertoire of theme related activities.

Show and Tell: Thursday - Please send in Valentine Cards. We will share during this activity, placing them into our school-made mail boxes. Review the specifics of this item prior to our Show and Tell Day so that your child may verbally participate to the best of their ability. And remember, as always: PLEASE have the Show and Tell items labeled with their initials.
If anyone would like to volunteer in the classroom to either read a story or assist with a project, please let me know.
If anyone has an old, radio/cd and tape player combo system that you are not utilizing anymore, can you please share it with us? Ours is not functioning that well any longer and we use it daily.
We are also in need of batteries, especially: AAA, AA and D's. Thank you!
Remember: Reading to your child is a gift to them and to you!
