Birthdays?

We love celebrating birthdays! If it is your child’s, you are
encouraged to come in to share in the excitement at snack time or during another activity!

Classroom Volunteer?

Once your child is acclimated to the school routine and
expectations and not severely affected by separation anxiety, you
are encouraged to come in to assist in our classroom. You can
opt to read a story, as it correlates to our theme, or cook a
simple recipe with us. We encourage parent involvement and
welcome you to join us!

Reading Volunteer?

Oral language and literacy skill development is an integral part
of our curriculum. These skills are embedded within our daily
schedule. "Reading" is practiced by the children regularly, as
they explore our library and prop center after snack time. In
addition, an adult reads a story related to the current theme
daily. Sharing a book with your child nightly is a gift to him
and you!

Should my child wear Crocs to school?

Please send your child to school in clothes he or she can move
and sometimes get messy in. In addition, since we have P.T. Group
twice weekly and will explore the playground until the weather
gets too cold to do so, please send your child wearing sneakers
every day!

When will my child be your helper?

Each day, different students will be chosen as my 'helpers.'
These helpers will be assigned specific jobs. As the schedule is
rotated, the jobs will be reassigned to different children.
Everyone will have a turn to 'help' me during the week. This
facilitates turn taking, responsibitliy, leadership and
independence.
