My name is Alana Stoffan and I have worked for the Board Of Education for the
past sixteen years; most of these years have been with the Head Start program.
I grew up in Trumbull, went to school here and I am pleased to be able to
work within the Trumbull community that has so much to offer.
Head Start is a wonderful program and one that I truly believe helps all
children and families succeed.
I look forward to an exciting school year and getting to know and work with
each family. Please remember that my door is always open should you have any

HEAD START FACTS
Head Start is a federally funded grant program for preschool children from
low-income families in the region. Head Start helps all children and their
families succeed. Services are also offered to meet the special needs of
children with identified special needs. Children who attend
Head Start participate in a variety of educational activities similar to other
preschool programs. In addition, they receive medical and dental services, and
have a healthy breakfast and lunch daily. The children come to school 5 days a
week. All children in the program are transported to and from school by their
parents.
