Supplies

Supplies for Language Arts (English), Grade 7 and 8 – Mrs. Lo

 

  • 3-ring binder with section for Language Arts.   If you choose to use a folder with pockets instead, it must be able to stand up to use all year.  No spiral notebooks.

 

  • Large pack of loose-leaf paper  (Important: no  papers torn out of spiral notebooks.)      Buy 500 sheets and keep most of them in a folder in your locker.

 

  • Blue or black pens (Buy lots now and keep them in your locker).  No gel pens, purple, green, orange, red.  Just black or blue normal ink. 

 

  • 500   3x5 cards.  (for flash cards)

 

  • Rings for holding flash cards together.  (Have one for this unit’s words, another to hold all cards you’ve made so far.)

 

  • Post it notes  (2x2 and 3x3 sizes are useful)

 

  • Highlighter

 

For the classroom:  box of Kleenex, Large bottle of hand sanitizer

 

For later in year  (buy them now)

  • Pack of 3 x 5 cards for research project.
  • Pack of 5 x 8 cards for research project
  • Folder with pockets for research project

 

Bring to every class:

  • Binder and loose-leaf paper.
  • Pens that work.
  • Agenda (assignment book)
  • Independent reading book
  • Highlighter
