Vocabulary Study

How We Do It

Your job for each vocabulary unit:

1. Listen to the podcast for the unit (see below).

2. Everybody in the class will be assigned one of the words from the unit.
Find out the meaning of the word that has been assigned to you. Use the
links here to find out pronunciation and meaning.

3. If you are in Computer class this semester, create a PowerPoint page that
SHOWS the word and the meaning of the word. Just one page. Make sure you
include:

. The word
. The word used correctly in a sentence
. The definition
. A picture or diagram that shows the meaning of the word (use only permitted
sources for pictures)
. The source of the picture (Example: Clipart. Example:
www.picturehere.html)
. Your name and class

Save the PowerPoint in your folder in Student Server. Name the PowerPoint
file like this:
First name Last name Unit # Word

If you are in 8th grade, this is your assignment throughout the year. If you
are in 7th grade, this is your assignment the semester you have computer
class.
