ABOUT MRS. LEVENTHAL
Mrs. Leventhal is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who began working at
Janney in 2000. She has a Bachelor degree from St. Joseph College in
sociology/social work and a Masters degree from Catholic University of
America in Child and The Family. Her undergraduate internships were at a
YMCA and an elementary school and a graduate level internship at Children's
Hospital in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She has worked in a variety of
settings including inpatient psychiatric units, outpatient mental health
clinics, adoption agencies and a vocational rehabilitation agency as a
clinical social worker.
MISSION FOR JANNEY
My role as School Social Worker is to help students, their families and staff
in creating a safe, inviting school environment where children are able to
work through problems, receive the needed emotional and academic support to
be successful, feel empowered to learn and able to reach their potential.
