DCPS Content Standards:
Content Standard #6 (Social Studies): Students understand the different ways
individual have expressed experiences, beliefs, and aspirations in art,
architecture, music and literature.
Content Standard #4 ( Visual Art): Each student will demonstrate
understanding of the relationship of visual arts to American and world
cultures and history. Cultures to include are from among African/African-
American, Asian/Asian-American, Caribbean, Europe/European-American,
Maxican, Latino-American, Middle Eastern, Native-American, and Pacific.
