Thought I would share the performance we attended yesterday at the Native
American Museum. Eva, Christopher's mother, says the food at the museum is
worth going to. Got free time this weekend???? This is a suggestion.

Allergies.............
*Does anyone have allergies to cats, dogs or bunnies, which might inhibit our
sharing time? Often children bring their pet for sharing. Please notify us.
SHARING: Sharing will begin in a couple of weeks. We will send home a sharing
schedule.
WE ARE ALL STARS
The children are forming good bonds and working together with their new table
teams. They are showing care and concern for others. We will change teams
every 2 weeks to give everyone an opportunity to establish relationships.
Birthday Parties
Birthdays are a big deal in Kindergarten. On birthday mornings in school, each
child is asked to make a special page for the birthday child in a birthday

Other Thoughts......
Please.......
__ Limit treats in lunches. Please do not send candy. Also, you may want to
check with your child to make sure they are able to consume the amount of food
sent.
_Establish email contact
MarijkeGero@aol.com
Please put your child’s name in the subject area.
_ Please have your child leave personal items (toys, stuffed animals etc.) at
home unless they are for their sharing day. These prized possessions often get
lost or broken and hearts are sad.
_ One sharing item each week. It is a long year and we have plenty of time to
share. You may wish to practice with your child before school.
_ Please read to your child nightly. This special reading time together
fosters a love of reading and learning. We suggest 20 minutes per night.
Monthly homework schedules will start soon.
~ Janney Jamboree 8:40 AM
~ Pick up 3:10 PM
_ Drop off and pick up on the playground at 3:10. Rainy day pick up is in the
classroom at 3:10. Arrive and leave early to avoid the rush!
_Please be prompt! If you are late, please contact the office. Your child will
most likely be in K-G. If we need to leave school at 3:30, we will leave your
child in the school office with Mrs. Green and Mrs. Watkins.
_ Please inform us of play dates in writing.
_10. Tracy Kroloff is compiling a list of names and email addresses for the
K-G Kids. Our Janney directory will not be published until mid October…. and
we would like to connect with each other before.
_K-G Newsletters will come home 1 -2 times per month. They will be emailed
once we have everyone’s information.
Best,
Marijke and Christine
