Dear 5S Parents,
In class we published are first writing pieces, which were written from
someone else’s point of view from our field trip to Calleva. The class will
start to develop fiction stories. In Reading, we have started are study on
characters. The class is finishing up listening to Bull Run and we will
begin to read Crash by Jerry Spinelli. We have wrapped up are study on
variables and have begun to explore weather in Science. In Math, we are
currently studying angles and how to measure them. We will have are Unit 3
test next week.
Ms. Jackson, the American University Practicum student, kicked off the study
of the weather by teaching the class about the water cycle. Ms. Levine is
still working in Mr. Varner’s room but will, hopefully, return to our class
soon.
