Mrs. Cannon has been teaching Elementary Band in the Caesar Rodney School
District for the past 17 years. She is a graduate of Dover High School
(yes, our rivals!), Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA (BM) and
Syracuse University (MM) where she majored in Flute Performance. In order
to enjoy the best of both worlds, she later pursued music education and is
now teaching as well as performing.
Mrs. Cannon is the principal flutist and piccoloist of the Dover Symphony
Orchestra and a founding member of the trio "Black and Bling", a flute,
violin and viola trio. She also has a private studio in which she teaches
flute lessons to older students from the area. In addition to playing her
flute, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Dover Symphony
Orchestra and is a member of the Fine Arts Council in our school district.
She lives in Dover with her huband John and two dogs...a Jack Russell
Terrier named "Russell" and the BEST dog in the world, a Bichon Frise
named "Sobear".
