About The Teacher

Salutations!  My name is Mrs. Susan Gilmore.  As you may know, my family 
includes a loving husband and two wonderful sons (ages 14 and 18).  I have 
been very fortunate to spend the last six years of my professional career 
at Clayton Elementary.  Prior to the current fourth grade position, I was on-
loan to the Delaware Department of Education, as the Teacher Co-Director of 
the Delaware Writing Project.  Needless to say, I have been planning and 
developing exciting educational activities to help us learn.  I am looking 
forward to assisting you with your many achievements this year!

In the past couple of years, I took the following courses:  Craft Plus, 
Unpacking the Delaware Recommended Curriculum, ELA Cluster, Addressing 
Student Needs Technology Cluster (Differentiating Instruction to Accommodate 
Learning Styles), Delaware Writing Project Cluster (Best Practices in the 
Teaching of Writing), and e-Learning for Educators Research Study (Best 
Practices for Vocabulary Instruction in the Elementary Classroom).
