I love to teach Science so this is one of my most fun parts of the whole day
and I hope to make it as exciting for your children as it is for me! Our
first Science kit is titled Earth Materials. This Earth Materials Module
consists of four sequential investigations dealing with observable
characteristics of solid materials from the earth-rocks and minerals. The
focus is on taking the materials apart to find out what they are made of and
putting materials together to better understand their properties. The module
introduces fundamnetal concepts in earth science and takes advantage of the
students' intrinsic interest in the subject matter and in the physical world
around them.
Project: Rock Collection: Students are to collect rocks from various places
outside around where they live nad other places that they visit. These should
not consist of rocks that are bought.
