Hello Future Third-graders,
Have you been having a terrific summer? Did you ride your bike, play tennis,
or go swimming? How many books have you read and what was your favorite for
the summer? I love to do all of the above! Mr. Lowe and I have taken our bikes
with us on vacation and ridden them on the Baltimore/Annapolis Bike Trail. We
played tennis a few times and I have read a bunch of books. My favorite this
summer was entitled, Sarah's Key.

My mission for each of my students is to learn as much as possible and to
have fun doing it. I believe that a child's education should come first and
it has to be a team effort among his or her teachers and their family. One
of my philosophies is to keep yourself busy at all times. This may mean
reading a book, studying spelling words or math facts, or writing a story.
An active mind is one that is learning!
