I am a Dover High School graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Paralegal
Studies from Wesley College and a Masters in Education from Wilmington
University.
I am married with three children - Amanda (19), Alyssa (10), and Alayna (9).
My girls attend the University of Delaware and Allen Frear Elementary. We
have two cats, Gabby and Boots and a Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Bella.
In my spare time, I enjoy going to the beach and pool, cooking, reading for
pleasure, playing tennis and watching football with my husband.
The mission for Family Living and Consumer Science is to promote personal
growth and leadership development. We will focus on the multiple roles of
the family member, wage earner, and community leader. Students will develop
skills for life through character development, creative and critical
thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and vocational
preparation. Our areas of study include the family, consumer and resource
management, child development, adolescent development, aging, interpersonal
relations, food, nutrition and wellness.
