In classroom news:

As we move forward in reading, we will continue to focus on vocabulary
skills, non-fiction comprehension skills, and developing inference skills. In
math we will begin working on classifying figures as well as continue to
improve basic math facts whether your student is at the addition level or the
multiplication level.

Our writing during this moth will focus on informational writing. Students
are writing "How to..."pieces and are determining which steps are important
and the importance of the order of those steps.

We will be going on a field trip to Dr. Raffeto and Dr. Fisk's Orthodontic
Office. This trip is always enjoyable and is related it to our Human Body
science kits. The students experience making molds, seeing how x-rays are
taken, observing how the teeth are moved, and learn proper hygiene skills!
The doctor's office provides all of this, as well as transportation, free of
charge!
