I have taught at Highlands Elementary School for 20 years. The 2011/2012
school year will mark my 21st year of teaching. All of those years have been
spent in second grade. I love teaching this age group. They are so full of
enthusiasm for learning. Since I am a mother of three sons, I have some
expertise in child
management. Some of my interests include art, history, reading and teaching,
of course. At any time during the school year, please don't hesitate to e-

My mission is make learning interesting and fun, while at the same time,
teach all of necessary standards based curriculum in second grade. I always
keep in mind each child's academic differences when planning lessons. I
truly believe it is important to meet all of my students diverse academic
and social needs and to make my class a safe and nurturing place to be.
