Student Expectations

Students Will:

Raise their hand for permission to speak and/or to leave their seat.

Not eat, drink, or chew gum/candy in the computer lab.

Bring pen/pencil, folder, class handouts/materials and agenda book daily.

Sign out and in on the Privilege List when leaving the classroom for an 
extended period of time (bathroom/nurse).  There is a water fountain outside 
the classroom and you do not have to sign out to get a drink.

Put forth their best effort and work on all lessons, assignments, 
assessments, and activities in class so that they will be successful and 
produce quality work.

Acknowledge the “Give Me Five” signal at all times.

Demonstrate self discipline and respect toward fellow classmates, the 
teacher and other adults.  By doing this, the student shows respect for 
themselves.  

Ask questions, participate in class discussions, group activities and 
collaborate with other students in the class to learn from and help one 
another.

Follow the classroom rules and procedures, school rules, and the Milford 
Middle School Student Code of Conduct at all times in order to be successful 
with the teacher and fellow classmates.

CONSEQUENCES:

If a discipline problem happens to arise in class, I will adhere to the 
following procedures:

1st Offense:            Verbal Warning/Immediate Teacher Intervention
2nd Offense:           Teacher/Student Conference w/Phone Call Home
3rd Offense:            Detention w/Phone Call Home
4th Offense:            Discipline Referral & Administrative Intervention
Severe Disruption:  Immediate Administrative Intervention
