How often will my child have homework?
Your child will have homework every night, even on the weekends. Homework is
given as practice so that the students master topics that we are covering in
class.
What is your grading policy?
Grades are calculated as follows:
40% homework and classwork
60% quizzes and tests.
Are the students told that they will be given a test?
Yes. They will be informed two or three days before the test is given.
Also, they will be instructed to write 'study for test' in their agenda books.
Why do I need to sign my child's test?
Tests are sent home to be signed by a parent or guardian so that they aware
of how well the student is performing.
What is the best way to get in touch with you?
You can always call me at school, 422-1620 ext. 206. You can email me at
jcreasey@mail.milford.k12.de.us. It, also, may be helpful to send me a note
with the student as long as the student gives the note to me.
How can I best help my child towards success in math?
You can monitor homework to make sure that it is not only completed, but
also, done so in a satisfactory manner. If your child has had trouble with
math in the past, encourage the use of math questions and math facts at home.
Are late assignments accepted?
Homework is given nightly and students are expected to turn it in completed
the next day they are in school.
Why was my child not allowed to go to his or her locker?
Students are to come to class prepared. They are only permitted to go to
their lockers before block 1, before block 3, and at the end of the day.
