Class participation
I believe class participation is one of the more important
aspects of a student’s experience in my classroom. My expectation is that
students participate in all classroom activities. Participation in my
classroom will lead to better grades and a more fulfilling educational
experience.
Attendance Expectations
Students are
expected to be in class every day. Students who arrive
after ½ of the class has elapsed will be marked absent.
Students who exceed 26 absences will receive a failing grade for the school
year. Students who are absent will receive a 0 for their
participation grade.
Behavior Expectations
I expect all students to be on their best behavior in class.
Students are to treat each other with respect. Students
will not be allowed to act in any way that will interfere with the learning of
others.
Assignment Policies
Students will maintain a journal in both Science and Social Studies class.
Students will be responsible for the organization and order in these journals,
Students will have some assignments due outside of class.
Supply List
I require each student to have a supply of pen (blue or black only) or pencil,
(2) Composition books, a supply of glue sticks and a great attitude for class.
Please read and sign this letter and return both to Mr. Norman by August 29,
2008. Return of this form is worth 10 points.
This is the first opportunity that students have to earn points this year.
Your child will have a great year and a Positive Outcome!
