About the Teacher

BFA - Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD

DE certification in Art K-12 and Secondary Special Education; highly
qualified in Elementary Education and Language Arts.

I grew up here in the Dover area; attended Caesar Rodney High School before
attending MICA and moving to Baltimore, MD. I have lived all along the East
Coast while my husband was in the Navy then returned to Delaware when he
retired. I have worked as a graphic artist and free-lance artist while my
husband was stationed in VA and later taught Art in Charleston, S.C. and
Waldorf, MD. I taught art as a member of the Dover Art League and as a free
lance artist. I taught high school art and computer art at Cape Henlopen High
School before taking a permanent position in Special Education at Lake Forest
High School.

I am happy and proud to be a member of the staff here at Positive Outcome
Charter School. I hope to nurture an interest and appreciation of art in all
students.
