Summer fun is just hours away and here are a couple of reminders:
Be sure to review the sun safety fliers that came home with your children
last week. Start your summer sun safe!
If students are attending summer camps they will need a physical. Now until
September 30, 2011, Rite Aid in Millesboro is offering physicals for just
$25. If your child will be playing sports for a recreational league or for
another school this summer, they will also need a physical using the DIAA
sports physical forms. These are in the nurses office or the main office
after school is out. Your student will not be allowed to play for a team
without the DIAA physical form being completed.
Please take a moment this summer to check in with your Primary Health Care
Provider to assure that your student is up to date on immunizations,
including TB. A copy to the school health office of any immunizations
received over the summer would be appreciated in order to update health
records and be in state compliance.
Shopping for back to school items is always a late summer activity. Please
choose your students backpack carefully. To maintain a healthy back, make
sure that the backpack you choose has two padded, adjustable straps and a
padded back. This will protect their backs for years to come.
Most important of all…..Have a fun and safe summer!
