I taught 3rd grade for 10 years at St. Thomas the Apostle School before
coming to St. Ann. I am now starting my 12th year teaching 5th grade.
I was born and raised in Quezon City, Philippines. I attended a private
Catholic School for girls from first grade to college.
The wonderful Belgian missionary sisters of St. Theresa's College
passed on their faith and love of the missions to us, their students,
through the example of their lives.
My husband and I migrated to the United States right after getting
married. We lived in University Park, PA, to attend graduate school at Penn
State University before moving to Delaware. My husband had a graduate
assistantship from the Chemistry Department for their doctoral program. I
had a graduate assistantship from the History Dept. at a later date to study
19th and 20th century China and Southeast Asia.
I took classes at Loyola University for my teacher certification.
I have two grown children, a daughter and a son and have a new
grandson. I belong to Holy Family Parish and am a member of the Social
Concerns Committee and am a Eucharistic Minister. I am also a member of the
Diocesan Solidarity Committee for our Partnership with the Diocese of San
Marcos, Guatemala.
I support fully the mission and philosophy of St. Ann School. I believe
that each child is unique and that God has a very special plan for each
one. My goal and prayer is that in fifth grade "they will develop
spiritually, academically, emotionally and socially through a diversity of
learning experiences."
