 MUSIC and PERFORMING ARTS CLASSESKINDERGARTEN, FIRST and SECOND GRADES
Music class consists of a literature based lesson with appropriate music and movement, singing, rhythm instruments and lessons regarding the music of the mass.
THIRD, FOURTH and FIFTH GRADE
Music class focuses on American Music from the folk music of the earliest settlers through the work of modern composers and distinctive American styles such as Ragtime and Rock and Roll. Important American composers and artists are highlighted through literature and music activities. Each week a portion of the class is spent on Liturgical Music and Hymns
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle School Students study Performing Arts for one Trimester. The focus of the class is the expression of abstract concepts through performance. This is a survey course of such topics as acting skills, musical performance, dance and movement, video performance. All students will complete a final project which will be outlined on this website when it is assigned.
