Can I choose the same subject in both options for Junior Cycle?

No. However two practical subjects may be chosen e.g. 
Metalwork (Opt A) and Woodwork (Opt B).

What are the LEVELS in Metalwork for the Junior Cert?

Two levels exist: Ordinary Level and Higher Level (no Foundation level).
Marks are as follows: Ordinary - Project = 75% Theory = 25%
Higher - Project = 25% Theory = 50% Practical = 25%

Are there separate classes for the different levels?

No. All students are taught in Mixed Ability classes.

Is there a practical test for the Junior Cert. Mock Exam?

No. The current project work is assessed and averaged with the theory test.

Is Metalwork or Engineering offered in Transition Year (TYP)?

Unfortunately not. With only one room at full capacity it is not possible to 
offer this to TYP students.

Is it possible to start Engineering in 5th year if you haven't done Metalwork?

Yes. Engineering can be started from scratch with the right aptitude and 
attitude. However Metalwork is the ideal basis from which to start.

Is there a practical test for the Leaving Cert. Mock Exam?

Yes. There is a four-hour practical test.

Must I do Engineering in school to study it in College?

No. But it certainly helps students to get a head start on such a course.
