Every day, except most Wednesdays, Year 4 children will be given a 40 minute
homework from their class teachers:
Sunday: Numeracy
Monday: Literacy
Tuesday: Numeracy
Thursday: Topic
The children will also be given a list of spelling words to learn every
other week and they are expected to read to an adult every night and to
practise their times tables on a regular basis.
French, Arabic and Religion homeworks are given weekly by their specialist
teachers.
Homework should be written neatly using a ruler to underline any titles and
their best joined handwriting. Some homeworks could be completed on the
computer but only if the home printer works and a hard copy of the homework
can be handed in on time.
All children should be able to access the internet from home to help them
with their homework tasks and research projects.
