3: 9-12; box 4: lines 12-14.

prepared to debate. Don't forget to look up specific facts for the debate

Wednesday, April 15:
Students were given their debate groups and were given time to work on their
ideas for the debate. Each group needs to create a petition that follows
their group's debate position. Please see me for your debate group and then
speak with your group about the petition requirements.
Tuesday, April 14:
Please use your immigration vocabulary and your knowledge about immigration
from Monday's reading to write a letter to your senator about your opinion
on
immigration. The letter needs to be written in Spanish and should be one
page in length. Begin the letter with "Estimado Senador". Address the
following questions in your letter: What is your opinion about the current
border immigration situation? What do you suggest as a solution to the
problem? Why would your solution be beneficial? Why is your solution
better
than other options? What steps do you want the U.S. government to take to
implement your solution?
Monday, April 13:
Please complete your movie questions from "la misma luna" for tarea. The
last two essay questions need to be written in Spanish. Please see me for a
reading packet about immigration. Complete the questions in Spanish.

security, waiting for their airplane, boarding the plane, finding their

the

You will have a 2 minute oral presentation on Thursday about any country in
the world that you would like to visit. Please include interesting details
about what you would like to see/visit in this country in your
presentation.
You will need a poster with pictures and will be only allowed one notecard

In class debate in Spanish on bullfighting. If you were absent this day,
you
need to write a one page paper in Spanish about your position on
bullfighting
including your supporting arguments.
Thursday, March 12:
Students found out what team they are on for the bullfighting debate that
will take place tomorrow. Each person is responsible for talking 2 times
during the debate and no English will be allowed. Please come prepared with
a visual and an opening and closing argument.

following situation: you have given all of your chores to your younger
brother or sister. Tell him/her what he/she needs to do by using 4
sentences in the subjunctive and 2 sentences with commands.

We reviewed all the subjunctive verbs for our subjunctive test tomorrow.
Please study all the different verb forms including regular, irregular,
irregular yo forms, stem changing verbs and spelling change verbs.

We reviewed the spelling change verbs of the subjunctive. Please study
these
for our test on Friday. Also, see me for a form with the spelling change
verbs to make yourself a study guide. Finally, see me for a half sheet
worksheet on all the verbs of the subjunctive to be completed for homework.

We finished presentations for those who were absent last Friday. If you
still need to present, bring your notecards and prop to class tomorrow. We
started train presentations with partners. See me for a green worksheet
titled "bocadillos". You need to say at least 6 sentences in your
presentation where you are a lost tourist asking for help with the train
system.

Please think of one event that happened over Winter Break and create a one
minute presentation about the details of the event in Spanish. Your
presentation will be in front of the class on Friday. It needs to include
and introduction, details, and a conclusion. Also, you must have a visual
aid/prop. Please practice!
