2011-2012 marks my twentieth year in the classroom! I walked these very
same halls at BTWHS as a high school student, and it is very exciting to be
here teaching another generation of Wildcats! My teaching career began at
Leon High School in Tallahassee, Florida in 1992. While at Leon, I taught
Drama I-IV, Stagecraft, and Speech. I also directed over 25 plays and
musicals. In 2000, I moved to Richmond VA and taught Theatre at Monacan High
School; however, in 2001 I was able to return to my native Pensacola to teach
Debate, Speech, Journalism, Drama, and 9th grade English IB at Pensacola High
school.
In 2004, I finally made the transition to my alma mater and began teaching
English. I am currently teaching three English I classes and three TV
Production classes. My students definitely keep me on my toes! I feel
privileged to spend time with them everyday and share my love of literature,
storytelling, and design.
In my spare time, you can find me enjoying life with my children, Hannah and
Ben, and supporting their activities through Cordova Park Elementary PTA,
Workman Middle School, Pensacola Children's Chorus, and First United
Methodist Church Children's and Youth Minstries.
It's going to be a great year! I can't wait for us to be together!
