Frau Walden was born and raised in Ulm, Germany. Before coming to the US,
she lived in England, Norway, and France. Frau Walden is a nature lover and
likes to travel. She spent the last four summers in Spanish speaking
countries where she attended classes at language institutes. She is an avid
bicycle rider and hiker. She is a member of numerous professional
organizations, as well as environmental protection associations. Her
favorite quote is "The marriage of nature with the soul is fruitful to the
intellect and gives birth to imagination." (Henry D. Thoreau)

The purpose of Frau Walden's classes is to promote an understanding and
appreciation of the German and French language and culture. In addition to
the development of basic coummunicative functions, the students will learn
about different German and French speaking countries and their cultures.
