My educational philosophy is simple: all children are capable of learning.
It is the different methodologies of teaching that are complex, as not all
children learn through traditional means of instruction. It is the goal of
public education to ensure that every child has the opportunity to become
successful in the classroom and in adulthood. My mission is to establish a
relationship with all of my students, so I can individualize instruction to
their personal learning styles. Some students need more physical
engagement, while others need more verbal cues. Lessons must inspire each
child to perform, whether it is through artistic projects, written projects,
or oral presentations. I believe assessment informs instruction and it is
essential to regularly use a variety of assessment tools. I want to provide
my students with the best instruction for their individual needs.
