Strand: READING PROCESS

Standard 1: Concepts of Print

The student demonstrates knowledge of the concept of print and how it is organized and read.

Solve word problems involving simple joining and separating situations.
Big Idea 2: Describe shapes and space.

Describe, sort and re-sort objects using a variety of attributes such as shape, size, and position.

Identify, name, describe and sort basic 2D shapes such as squares, triangles, circles, rectangles, hexagons, and trapezoids.
