What time does school begin and end?

School begins at 8:00. Students will be picked up by their teacher
in the cafeteria. Students who arrive after 8:00 are tardy and must
obtain a tardy slip from Ms. Hoffman in the cafeteria. Each day ends
at 2:45. Early dismissal days are from 8:00 - 12:00.

How does dismissal work?

Kindergartners will be released to parents at the classroom door
just prior to 2:45. Those attending Eagle's Nest after school
care will be walked over to their classroom. Bus riders will be
released from the classroom to the supervising teacher. Please note,
grades 1 - 7 are released from the cafeteria.

How does lunch work?

Students have a choice of bringing a lunch from home or ordering
from the school lunch menu. You may pay into a lunch money
account as needed. Each time your child has a hot lunch the cost
is deducted from their account. Children who bring their lunch
may want to keep a minimal balance in their account for purchasing
milk. We do have a microwave for warming, but students (with
assistance) must do so before leaving the classroom. Students
have 30 minutes to eat lunch and socialize.

Will they have a rest time during the day?

We cool down from outdoor play, read stories and generally regroup
from our busy day. Your child may bring a small blanket or towel
and a 'lovey'. Children do not have to sleep but some do especially
at the beginning of the year as they adjust to an active all day
program.

Will my child need to bring a snack?

Snack Time is incorporated into our daily Center Time. For the
first two weeks of school I will provide a healthy snack of fruit,
crackers, cheese, 100% juice etc.. Mid-September we will be
starting up our Star of The Week program and that child will
bring in snack for the class for one week.
