I am orginally from Northern California and have lived in a number of
wonderful places including Okinawa and Guam. My family and I have called Big
Pine Key home for over four years and we are planning many more.
My teaching career began in 1997 when I earned my certificate from Chapman
University. Last year I completed the requirements for teaching English to
second language learners (ESOL) and am currently working toward a Reading
Specialist endorsement. Although I have taught 4th, 5th, and 2nd grades
kindergarten is my absolute favorite. Every year is more rewarding than the
last.
