Originally from St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles (Caribbean), I have been
living on Big Pine Key for 15 years.
As an adult immigrant from the Caribbean, I embrace and teach diversity in my
classroom. I speak five languages and expose students to the many cultures I
have experienced from my country of origin and from several countries in
Europe, where I attended college.
My favorite pastimes are spending time with my husband and son (preferably on
the water) and reading.
To help students embrace personal responsibility and to prepare them
academically for the sixth grade and beyond.
