Hello current and new students!!! I am looking forward to an amazing school
year, and I hope you are as well. Our year is getting busy already, and we
have some amazing opportunities ready for our students. Please e-mail me
anytime if you have questions, but here are a few pieces of information that
you should keep in mind.
1. All performances are mandatory. This is a performance based program, and
unless a concert is specified for a particular group, all students are
required to attend.
2. All students are required to purchase the chorus outfit. This will be
explained in the BMS Choral Handbook given to all students during the first
week of school.
3. We are planning a small trip this year (we are staying in Florida).
Please plan ahead and start saving now. Two fundraiser opportunities will be
available to all students to help cover the costs.
4. The VPA Ensemble has been asked to participate in the Sarasota/Bradenton
Bach Festival this year. Family members will have to purchase tickets to
attend the concerts, and as soon as I have the amount needed, you will be
informed.
5. Finally, in addition to my choral classes, I will also be team teaching a
musical theater class with our drama teacher, Ms. Carrie Mills. If your
child is interested in taking this class, please have them come to me during
the first week of school.
I look forward to meeting new parents and reconnecting with returning ones.
Come out to orientation on August 18th and 19th where your student can meet
all their teachers and receive their class schedules. Enjoy these last few
days of summer, and I will see you all soon!!!
