Hello families! Welcome to the Cooking Connection.  Cooking in the primary classroom is fun and with each hands-on cooking activity your child is exposed to the following key skills and concepts:
     Developing oral language, early reading skills and vocabulary
     Numeral recognition and counting
     Following step-by-step directions
     Sequencing
    Measurement
    Nutrition

Listed below are the dates and cooking activities planned for this school year.  I am asking families to sign up to bring in the ingredients.  I will add your family name to the calendar and will send home a reminder in your child's notebook.  Friday is our cooking day.  I ask that you please send in the ingredients on the Thursday prior, so that I can set things up for the next day.
