Welcome to Health Science 1
This is part of the Health Science Educations Cluster that is followed by
Health Science 2 and Allied Health Assisting 3. If the 3 courses are taken,
the student is eligible for the Bright Futures Scholarship listed in the
Curriclum Guide.
Health Science 1 is a pathophysiology and medical terminology course that
also reviews the body structure and function. This class is for the serious
student who is pursuing a health career and will be attending a Technical
School, Community College or University post high school. This class will
require daily attention and study TIME.
Students are eligible for college credit (3 credits) after finishing the
course. There are 2 testing dates in December and May for the BCC Exam. If
students pass this exam they will receive college credit if enrolled as full
time student. This is an excellent way to save time and tuition on your way
to your career in health care.
