With each literature unit, you will be assigned a packet of work as well as certain questions out of the textbook. The packet work can be pulled from the handouts section of this web page. All of this work will be due to me on the day we take the unit test. Do students have any major writing assignments this year? Yes! English III and Honors English III students are required to do a research paper. This is a major grade! A binder of required work must be turned in with the paper. NO LATE PACKETS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE DUE DATE. How is Honors Eng. III different from regular Eng. III classes? The Honors English III students will read different novels from the regular classes, and they will read these as outside reading assignments. Check under the Handouts section to see a list of the required reading. Tests and projects will be given for each novel. What novels are read in Honors English III? The Scarlet Letter, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Great Gatsby, Of Mice and Men These four novels are required reading throughout the year. You will also be given a list of novels from which you may choose other selections based on your interests. |
