Since this is a performance-based class, grades will be based on their
presentations. If they do not give the assigned speeches, they will not pass.
They will be given ample time in class to prepare for the speech, but they
must also finish their work at home and definitely practice, practice,
practice at home.

Evaluations of speeches are based on the following:
Content:
   Adequate introduction
   Main points and support
   Adequate conclusion
Delivery:
   Eye contact
   Vocal quality
   Gestures/facial expressions
   Body posture
   Attitude
Length:
Adherence to the set time limit
Preparation:
   Time on task in class
   Evidence of familiarity with material
Visual:
   Informative
