LEARNING GOALS

How To Complete Your Daily Learning Goals for each Chapter Lesson

(1) Define any highlighted words in the lesson.
(2) Copy down any green formula boxes in the lesson.
(3) Copy down the red Goal next to each Example Problem in the lesson.

For example, if you wanted to complete your Learning Goals for lesson 1.3, you
would:

(1) Define the highlighted word "Order of Operations."
(2) Copy down the green box which lists the Order of Operations.
(3) Copy down the four goals next to the four example problems:
I'd suggest personalizing them. For example:
1 - I want to learn to Use Order of Operations
2 - I hope to learn to Use Grouping Symbols
3 - I want to Evaluate Variable Expressions
4 - I'd be happy if I could Use a Problem Solving Plan

There will be a 2-point deduction if students do not have their learning goals
for each daily lesson.

At the end of each chapter, students will turn in their chapter learning
goals as a stapled packet. The grading rubric is:

18-21 Points - Typed, dynamic, and complete learning goals.
             - May include humor or personalized touch!
17 Points - Handwritten, dynamic, and complete learning goals.
             - May include highlighting, etc. to improve presentation.
12-16 Points - Incomplete or messy goals.
01-11 Points - Horribly incomplete or extremely messy goals.
