Hello Fort Clarke Falcons! I'm excited to have you all in my class!
This next year is going to be full of fun activities as we learn together
and help one another succeed! I am beginning my third year of teaching at
Fort Clarke Middle. I graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators!)
with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education grades 1-6 and a Masters
Degree in Special Education grades K-12. I am also certified to teach
Reading as well as students where English is their second language.
I grew up in Sarasota, FL with all my MANY brothers and sisters
(I'm a triplet and have 3 sisters and 2 brothers!). I graduated from Pine
View High School. I began running track and cross country in high school and
ran at UF as well. At UF I ran the 5k and 10k (3.1 and 6.2 miles!). So one
of my favorite activities to do to help me relax is to go for a run (there's
a good chance that you will see me running around Gainesville at some point
this year!). I also enjoy going to the beach, cooking, watching the Gators
(I love any and all sports), and spending time with my new husband (just got
married in June!).
My goal for this class is for each student to be as successful as
possible. We will be covering a variety of subject areas--learning all kinds
of new information. We will be having fun each day we learn, and we will be
working together, learning from one another. I learn as much, if not more,
from the students as they do from me. I can't wait to see what you all
will teach me this year! Let's have a wonderful year together! Please feel
