About The Teacher

Mrs. Homer has loved math all of her life.  She earned a Bachelor degree in 
Liberal Arts & Sciences and a Master degree in Business Administration 
(M.B.A.) at the University of Florida and The University of South Florida 
respectively.  She loves to organize field trips, so her classes should 
expect to participate in a few adventures throughout this school year.   Her 
hobbies include play dates with her toddler/family/friends, camping, 
kayaking, fly-fishing, pilates and reading.

Mission For The Class (written by the students)

Course 2 Mathematics (7th Grade)

Purpose
To learn the essentials of mathematics

Process
By working hard, paying attention, taking problems one step at a time, 
taking notes, doing homework, studying, taking quizzes, and getting good 
grades 

Payoff
So that we can go to a good college/IV League school, make our paretns 
proud, get good careers (ex: in pediatrics), and reach our financial goals



Earth Science (8th Grade)

Purpose
To have fun learning more about the world we live in (ex: related to the 
weather, geography and the solar system), to learn about the 
people/scientists who have studied it 

Process
By working hard, listening/paying attention, reading the book, taking notes, 
having homework ready always, studying (30 minutes per day) for and taking 
quizzes and tests, learning from any mistakes made, following the rules, 
going on field trips, doing experiments, going the extra mile, and applying 
our skills  

Payoff
So that we can get A+s, go to college, become professionals (ex: 
cardiologists, sports doctors/doctors), get extra "tools in our toolboxes of 
knowledge", make a good living, understand future classes, and make honors 
in high school  



Life Science (7th Grade) 

Purpose
To learn about living things and how they function, to obey my parents, to 
get A+'s

Process
By paying attention, taking notes, studying, listening to the teacher, 
learning, taking quizzes and tests, working hard, reading the book, and 
applying what we learn to our lives 

Payoff
To have a better future, get into a good college(ex: UF), use our life 
science knowledge in our jobs (ex: as a pediatrician or other doctor, 
scientist), have more job opportunities, understand life better, and be able 
to help OUR children with life science homework
