Frequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions
of students and parents.
  1. What am I required to bring for P.E.?
  2. How many tests should we expect in 6th grade science?
  3. When are we going to play dodgeball?

What am I required to bring for P.E.?

Each student is required to bring their P.E. uniform shorts and
shirt to
class. Tennis shoes are also
required in order to participate in class. Any student that is
not equipped
with the proper shoes will not
be allowed to participate in class. Uniform guidelines will be
addressed on
the first day of class.

How many tests should we expect in 6th grade science?

There will be a test after every completed chapter. Some
chapters are
longer than others, therefore
some tests will be longer than others. Each chapter should take
no longer
than two weeks to go over
in class.

When are we going to play dodgeball?

So far, this question has been asked over 50 times so I thought
it was
important to address on the FAQ section. There will be a week of
dodgeball
and sometimes I will declare certain days to be "free
days." However, it is
more important that we study each exercise and sport than play
dodgeball
every day. Remember, the more you ask about it, the less we play
it.

What I am required to bring for Golf Practice?

At least 12 golf balls every practice, golf tees, a glove, and
clubs. If
you participate in a game, new balls must be used. We will be
using Nike
Karma's or Juices as our official game ball.

What sports do we play?

Sports vary depending on the grade of the student and how many
students are in each class. Students should expect to see a mix
of Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Lacrosse, Football, and
Soccer. Students will also have the opportunity to exercise by
participating in obstacle courses, indoor soccer, lightning ball,
bulldog, flag-tag and more!
