Reading & Language Arts: The students will be using the Expeditions Text book for weekly reading selections.  They will read novels in the classroom.  The students will be taught reading strategies to improve their reading.  They will also receive instruction on FCAT reading passages.  The students will also be taught in guided reading groups.  Spelling, writing, and vocabulary will be taught within the context of the reading lessons.  

Mathematics:  The students will be taught math using the Math textbook, workbook, and Fast Track to FCAT.  Students are expected to have a foundation in math basics such as all multiplication facts and division facts.  This is imperative for your child’s success in mathematics.  The students will be taught FCAT benchmarks as well to familiarize them with the test.

Science: The students will be taught science using the P-SELL program which is a hands-on program with experiments.  As a supplement we will also use the Science textbook.  The students will also be taught the FCAT benchmarks to familiarize them with the test.
