Every student will take a STAR test on the computer. This STAR test measures your child’s vocabulary and determines their reading level.  Every child should be reading at a 5.1 in August to be reading at grade level. This score will also be used to select your child’s accelerated reader books that they will be reading daily. The first STAR test will be taken in August.  The other STAR test will be taken at the beginning of each new nine week and at the end of the school year to monitor your child’s growth.
