| The 2007-2008 school year will be starting soon and I hope you are excited.
I have planned several units of study that are designed to broaden your
understanding of the REAL WORLD a.k.a “Life after School.”
Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS) is an approved course that will also
ensure the completion of the Career Exploration and Decision Making
component which is now required by Florida Statute. I would like to
personally thank you for selecting Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS) as one
of your electives and I hope that your year remains, and ends just as
exciting as it begins.

by voluntary only.

8th Grade T-Shirt Design Contest (Due April)
Carnaval Miami Cooking Contest (Due February)

NASCO’s To∙Sew Design-A-Pillow Contest (Due February)

Next FCCLA Meeting is planned for Thursday, October 4th. All club dues are
due for submission to Nationals.
*There will be an information meeting September 10th, Monday @ 3:45 p.m. -
4:00 p.m. in Room 235.
This meeting will cover Club Objectives, Dues $13.00, Membership
requirements, and scheduled meeting times. So, please be on time. Hope to
see ya there!!!
FCCLA meetings will being on September 24th @ 3:45 p.m. - 4:20 p.m. in Room
235.
